Vodafone scraps brand experience role

Vodafone has axed its global director of brand experience and partnership marketing role following an internal review.

The remit of former brand experience chief Peter Harris has been taken on by Vodafone's global brand director David Wheldon.

Harris left the mobile group after it emerged he would not be joining the global marketing team on its relocation to Dublin in June. Following an overhaul of the division, several positions have yet to be filled.

Harris's work during his seven years at Vodafone included campaigns in partnership with UEFA, McLaren and Manchester United. He was named managing director of Iris Sponsorship in October.

Daragh Persse has been promoted to head of global media and sponsorship integration.
